The Commercial Producers Association of South Africa have started a fund to try and assist freelancers in the coming months. It’s unclear how much money can/will be raised but please could you share this post far and wide so we can try and raise some money for our crew!

Hi all you Krewkut fans – I know we’ve been a’Buzz with Adam Joshua Bentel ‘s ‘Ad of the Week’ and showcasing Thomas James Revington ‘s latest music video and Dino Benedetti being introduced to the SASC but some other cool stuff has also being going down and we haven’t had the chance to post about it all.

Another super Gaffer has joined the fold, and me being a lighting gal and all, I was super chuffed when Henry Blignaut called to join the team. Thomas James Revington from Shortstraw fame has joined us in the camera department, not that we needed ‘celeb’ cred, but we’ll take it

Jo Oosthuizen is at last back in South Africa and we’re hoping to keep him here – He just finished an amazing international job for Ponds with his Trinity and we can’t wait to see the final product!!

There are still a few exciting things coming up and we’ll be sure to keep you posted…

Devin Toselli and his super creative other half Lara Adine Lipschitz are heading to New York in November for the NYC Web Fest, where her web series ‘Chin Up!’ has been accepted as a finalist and she has been nominated for Best Actress too! For those of you unfamiliar with the series you have to check it out! Especially on a Monday – It’ll totally cheer you up 🙂 What I like the most is I know these incredibly cool, talented individuals!

Adam Bentel shoots Ad of the Week – Chicken Licken

The filming took place in Iceland, according to publicity material from Joe Public, and this lends a tremendous amount of authenticity to the mock-documentary style of the ad. The cold and desolate village is captured extremely well, the filming accentuated by using a blue-grey look that only becomes warm when the Chicken Licken meal arrives. Read more here…
