My name is Wilna. I was raised in the SABC. My dad was part of the SABC from the first day it started. He used to direct TV shows, with me as a baby on his back. I used to travel to locations with the crews, and played and slept between technical equipment. “Wielie Walie” was my nursery school.
Once I left school, I joined the South African National Defence Force, a year and a half later I ended up in the Television Unit of the SANDF. I left the Army and started working for Urban Brew Television, and later Red Pepper Pictures. I lived in London for 5 years, returned to South Africa and studied to become a Medic.
After years of being an operational Medic, I found myself yet again in the Film Industry. I do love this industry, and I’m enjoying every second!
